My name
Iris is my name. It may not be my first name but it's my middle name. My first name is random and has no meaning behind it. Iris is a type of flower and the word itself means rainbow. It is the flower of Iris the Greek goddess who was the messenger of love. My middle name means the absolute world to me. My grandma, a well respected woman in my family is whom I received my middle name from. She is a second mother to me and I have the upmost respect for her. I adore the sweet smell of success and I get that quality from her. My grandma is like a lion. She watches over everyone in our family and will go out of her way to protect us all from any harm. Her heart is as pure as gold. I am beyond honered to share a name with someone like my grandma.

Great figurative language! You're grandmother seems like a great woman'
ReplyDeleteI liked that you chose your middle name and not your first. Adding the part about the Greek goddess was a good idea too.
ReplyDeleteI liked how you didn't talk about your first neither your last name, but of your middle name.
ReplyDeleteI like your middle name and how you respect your grandmother she seems like a really good woman. Also "the sweet smell of sucess" like it
ReplyDeleteI like the personification you used with success. I also like how you mentioned the Greek goddess. Fantastic job.
ReplyDeleteMarlayna,
ReplyDeleteI think that the simile of a lion is very clearly appropriate with the description you gave. It is great that you take pride in your family history.
Your grandma is rAw I like your poem and the flowerr
ReplyDeleteI like your middle name. It's unique and has a good meaning to it. Also, I like that you respect how you got it, as many people don't. I like your first name too.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is on fleek and the poem itself shows pride in who you are as well as your family, all in all a wonderful post
ReplyDeleteI like you said your grandma was like a lion.
ReplyDeleteI like the simile "Heart of Gold", not only now but over all.
ReplyDeleteI liked that you put a picture in there and how you said you respect your grandma
ReplyDeleteIt's interesting how you chose to write about your middle name instead of your first or last, most people wouldn't think to mention it.
ReplyDeleteI like how you said how you got your middle name and how you are honered to share it with your grandma.
